MGO is the naturally occurring compound that gives Manuka Honey its special properties, the higher the MGO rating on the front of the jar, the greater the anti-bacterial strength present within the Honey.

Research shows that it’s the MGO (methylglyoxal- a naturally occurring compound) which gives Manuka its super powers- ‘potent anti-microbial properties’ that can help to ‘hinder the growth of microbes’.
