Our Gardening Gloves with elasticated cuffs of long lasting, thorn proof, are made from natural Rubber by small-scale farmers in Sri Lanka.

The farmers are educated on the best ways to tap Rubber and care for trees, as well as how to prepare and manage their land, and they receive a premium for the sale of the Gloves.

Traidcraft provided the farmers with additional training in business management, and provided capital to the farmer associations, helping them establish savings and loan funds in their villages.

Traidcraft exists to demonstrate the best that fair trade can be.

We take what we learn in pioneering ethical, community-transforming products and use that to influence others to improve their practices.

Through collaboration with like minded organisations and ethical partners we use the Traidcraft name to strengthen the wider Fairtrade movement and influence mainstream trade in a positive direction.
