Selenium 200µg is produced in premises that operate to stringent pharmaceutical standards of GMP, using a combination of two well-researched forms of Selenium: L-Selenomethionine and Sodium Selenite.

Selenium is an essential mineral with several important functions in the body.

It forms an integral part of the free radical scavenging enzymes Glutathione Peroxidase which have an important role as a natural antioxidant in the body.

Selenium also contributes to the normal maintenance of hair and nails, as well as the normal function of the immune system. It is also involved in protecting cells from oxidative stress (due to free radicals).

Selenium acts as an antioxidant, which are substances that help our bodies to destroy or quench harmful free radicals that are produced quite naturally in the human body and which, if allowed to proceed unchecked, can harm tissues and organs.
