Pure MCT oil from premium coconuts. MCT stands for Medium Chain Triglycerides — a type of fat that is metabolised more directly than the long-chain fats in ordinary coconut oil, which is why it has become a staple of ketogenic diets and "bulletproof" coffee.

Coconut oil naturally contains MCTs alongside longer-chain fatty acids. In MCT oil those longer chains have been removed, concentrating the caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) acids that are considered the most useful energy sources of the four MCTs.

Three flavours

  • Unflavoured — neutral, for smoothies, dressings and cooking as well as coffee
  • Caramel — for coffee and shakes without adding sugar
  • Hazelnut — the classic coffee pairing

All three are 500ml and the same pure MCT base.

Key benefits

  • 100% MCT oil from premium, non-GM coconuts
  • High in caprylic (C8) and capric (C10) acid
  • Rapidly absorbed — a popular energy source on keto and low-carb diets
  • Blends into coffee, smoothies, shakes and dressings
  • Suitable for vegetarians and vegans

Directions for use: Add 1 tablespoon to coffee, shakes, dressings or smoothies. MCT oil can cause nausea or loose stools if you start at a full dose — begin with a teaspoon and build up over a week or two.

Ingredients: 100% MCT oil (from coconut). Caramel and Hazelnut also contain natural flavouring.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Do not use for deep frying.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between MCT oil and coconut oil?
Coconut oil is a mix of medium- and long-chain fats. MCT oil has the long chains removed, so it is far more concentrated in caprylic and capric acid and stays liquid at room temperature.

Can I cook with it?
It is fine in dressings, smoothies and low-heat cooking, but it has a low smoke point — do not use it for frying at high heat.

Do the flavoured versions contain sugar?
No — the caramel and hazelnut versions are flavoured, not sweetened with sugar.

How much should I take?
One tablespoon is the usual serving. Start smaller: taking a full tablespoon straight away commonly causes stomach upset until the body adjusts.

Is it suitable for a nut allergy?
Coconut is not a tree nut in the botanical sense, but the Hazelnut version is hazelnut-flavoured — choose Unflavoured or Caramel if you avoid nuts.
