Pressed from 100% rescued 'ugly' avocados — the ones supermarkets reject for being too ripe, too bruised, or the wrong shape — Soilmates Avocado Oil turns food waste into a genuinely useful kitchen staple. Pure, single-ingredient, and refined to remove impurities while retaining the avocado's natural antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and vitamins. Unlike many vegetable oils, avocado oil remains stable and retains its nutrients even at high temperatures, making it ideal for frying, roasting, baking, grilling, and barbecuing.
500ml — approximately 30 ugly avocados per bottle.

FAQs
What are 'ugly' avocados?
Ugly avocados are those rejected by supermarkets for cosmetic reasons — they may be bruised, too ripe, too large, or the wrong shape. They are perfectly nutritious and flavourful. In Europe alone, over 20% of all avocados are thrown away because they don't meet supermarket beauty standards. Soilmates rescues these and turns them into avocado oil.
Why is the oil refined?
Because ugly avocados contain impurities and imperfections from bruising and over-ripeness, light refining is necessary to remove these and produce a safe, shelf-stable product. What remains is a healthy oil with the avocado's natural goodness intact — antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and vitamins are all preserved.
Can this be used for high-heat cooking?
Yes — avocado oil has a naturally high smoke point, making it stable and nutrient-retentive even at high frying and roasting temperatures. Unlike many seed oils, it does not break down into harmful compounds at cooking temperatures.
Is this product vegan?
Yes — 100% plant-based with no animal-derived ingredients.
How long does a 500ml bottle last?
Approximately 50–60 uses at a standard tablespoon (10ml) per use — around 2–3 months with regular cooking use.
