Brought down from Planadas in Tolima, deep in the Cordillera Central Mountain ranges of the Andes, this coffee helps build brighter local futures and delivers a sweet, smooth, and moreish cup.
A delicious Coffee—sweet, smooth, and moreish with tastes of red apple, caramel, hazelnut, and milk chocolate with medium strength. Roasted a little darker, this is a fantastically flavorsome coffee, with a delightfully smooth flavor and lingering finish.
Grown in the shadows of the Huila mountain range and straddling the foothills of Colombia’s highest volcano, Nevada del Huila, these beans capture a deep, complex character. Whether washed in mountain waters or sun-dried, the intense flavor profile is locked in before it even reaches the roastery. It is the perfect way to experience how the gentle tang of red fruits and apples cuts through the rich notes of hazelnut and caramel.

Direction for use: Grumpy Mule coffees are suitable for use in a wide range of brewing equipment. For Espresso machines, use a fine grind for best results (whole beans version). Use 2 heaped dessert spoonfuls of fresh coffee per cup (approximately 15g per 250ml). For espresso, a good double dose is 14-18g with an extraction time of about 27 seconds. Allow heated water to come off the boil (about 93-95°C) before pouring to avoid scalding the beans. Serve the coffee immediately once brewed.
