Union first partnered with the Maraba cooperative in 2001, becoming the first coffee company in the world to source speciality coffee from Rwanda. Today the cooperative has grown from 300 to over 1,500 members, of whom 35% are women. The premium Union pays has funded health insurance, improved housing, and economic infrastructure for the community. Grown at 1,700 metres above sea level in Rwanda's 'Land of a Thousand Hills'.

Directions for use: Grind fresh before brewing. Best brewed as cafetiere or espresso. With milk, the coffee softens into ripe fruits, vanilla and caramel ice cream. As filter, expect orange, redcurrant and toffee.
