Raw cacao nibs are pieces of crushed, dried cacao beans — essentially 100% chocolate in its most natural, unprocessed form, before any addition of sugar, milk, or other ingredients. These certified organic raw cacao nibs from Just Natural Organic have an intensely bitter, complex, dark chocolate flavour with a satisfying crunch — the essence of dark chocolate without any sweetness.
One of the most antioxidant-rich foods available — extremely high in flavanols, iron (13mg/100g), magnesium, manganese, copper, and zinc. Also contains theobromine and small amounts of caffeine.
Certified organic by the Soil Association. Plastic-free. Available in 200g.
Add to smoothies, granola, oatmeal, or yoghurt for a dark chocolate crunch. Use in baking as a chocolate chip substitute. Scatter over cakes and desserts. Mix into energy balls. Use in raw chocolate bark with cacao butter.
Recipe idea — Cacao Nib Granola: Mix 300g jumbo oats, 80g cacao nibs, 50g pumpkin seeds, 50g hazelnuts, 3 tbsp coconut oil, 3 tbsp maple syrup, 2 tbsp raw cacao powder, and a pinch of salt. Bake at 160°C for 25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool completely. The cacao nibs provide intense dark chocolate flavour and crunch — far superior to adding chocolate chips which melt.
