FAQs
How does tamari differ from regular soya sauce?
Tamari is a traditional Japanese soya sauce made without wheat (or with very little), making it suitable for those avoiding gluten. Yaemon Tamari contains twice as much soya as standard soya sauces, producing a more concentrated and deeper umami flavour.
Can I use this sauce for cooking?
Yes — it works both cold (dipping sauce, dressings) and hot (marinades, stir-fry, soups). Due to its high concentration, use less than you would with regular soya sauce.
Is it certified gluten-free?
Yes — certified gluten-free and contains no wheat. Suitable for people with coeliac disease and those following a gluten-free diet.
How long can I store it after opening?
Store in a cool, dark place or refrigerate after opening. The sauce keeps well for many months. See the best before date on the packaging.
