Brown jasmine rice retains the delicate floral fragrance that makes Thai jasmine rice one of the most aromatic rices in the world — the characteristic scent from naturally occurring 2-acetyl-1-pyrroline — while keeping the full whole-grain bran layer for superior nutrition. Use with Thai curries, stir-fries, satay, and Southeast Asian dishes. Rinse well. Cook 1:1.75 ratio for 35–40 minutes. The fragrance is most pronounced when first opened and immediately after cooking.
Recipe idea — Thai Green Curry with Brown Jasmine Rice: Fry 2 tbsp green curry paste in coconut oil, add 400ml coconut milk and 200ml stock.
