Thompson Seedless raisins are the world's most popular dried grape variety — naturally sweet, plump, and seedless with a classic raisin flavour. These certified organic raisins from Just Natural Organic are sun-dried without added oil, sulphur, or sugar, producing a clean, naturally dried fruit that's genuinely free from additives.
Raisins are a concentrated source of potassium, iron, copper, and boron, alongside natural sugars (fructose and glucose) and dietary fibre. They contain tartaric acid, which supports gut microbiome diversity, and polyphenol antioxidants including resveratrol and quercetin — the same compounds found in red wine.
Certified organic by the Soil Association. Plastic-free, home-compostable packaging. Available in 250g and 500g.

Recipe idea — Classic Carrot Cake: Mix 200ml sunflower oil with 3 eggs and 200g caster sugar. Fold in 200g grated carrot, 80g raisins, 50g walnuts, 200g self-raising flour, 2 tsp cinnamon, and 1 tsp mixed spice. Bake in a greased 20cm tin at 180°C for 45–50 minutes. Cool, then top with cream cheese frosting. The raisins add sweetness and moisture — a classic combination that never fails.

FAQs
Are all raisins the same?
No — raisins come from different grape varieties. Thompson Seedless (Sultana grape) are the most common and are naturally sweet and plump. Zante currants are much smaller and more tart. Muscat raisins are larger and more intensely flavoured. For general baking and snacking, Thompson Seedless are the standard choice.
Do raisins contain added oil?
Many commercial raisins are coated in mineral oil to prevent sticking and improve appearance. These organic raisins are processed without added oil — naturally dried and packaged without surface treatments.
Are raisins good for iron intake?
Raisins contain around 2.3mg of iron per 100g — about 16% of the adult NRV. Plant-based (non-haem) iron is less readily absorbed than haem iron from meat, but consuming raisins alongside Vitamin C-rich foods (such as orange juice) significantly improves absorption.
Are these gluten-free?
Yes — raisins are naturally gluten-free. Packed in a facility handling gluten-containing grains.
How should I store raisins?
Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Raisins can crystallise slightly over time — this is a natural sugar process and doesn't affect quality. A brief soak in warm water will restore their plumpness if needed.
