Red rice is a whole-grain variety with a russet-red outer bran layer rich in anthocyanins and tannins — the same antioxidant compounds found in red wine and pomegranates. These certified organic red rice from Just Natural Organic have a nutty, slightly earthy flavour with a firm bite, cooking to a striking burgundy-red colour that makes them beautiful in grain bowls and salads.
Provides iron, fibre (4g/100g), manganese, and B vitamins alongside polyphenol antioxidants. Higher nutritional value than white rice.
Certified organic by the Soil Association. Plastic-free, home-compostable packaging. Available in 500g.
Use in grain bowls, salads, pilafs, and as a striking side dish. Mix with white rice for visual contrast. Cook 1:2 ratio for 35–40 minutes. Rest 10 minutes.
