Profusion Organic Red Lentil Orzo is rice-shaped organic pasta made from 100% organic red lentil flour — a gluten-free pasta format that brings the versatility of orzo to high-protein plant-based cooking, with 26g of protein and 5.4g of fibre per 100g. At home in soups and stews (where it absorbs broth beautifully), in pilaf-style dishes, and in warm or cold salads, it substitutes naturally for both wheat orzo and risotto rice.

A single clean ingredient: organic red lentil flour. No wheat, no egg, no additives. Certified organic by the Soil Association. Naturally vegan and gluten-free. Red lentil flour gives the orzo a mild, slightly sweet earthiness and a firm texture that holds up well during boiling and absorbs surrounding flavours without disintegrating. With 26g protein per 100g, this delivers more than double the protein of conventional wheat orzo.

Cook in boiling salted water for 6–8 minutes for pasta dishes or salads. For a risotto-style dish, add to warm stock and stir over medium heat, adding liquid gradually until absorbed and creamy. Add directly to soups and stews in the last 8 minutes of cooking. Excellent in Greek-style orzo with tomato and roasted vegetables, warm salads with roasted peppers and feta, or lemon herb broth with chickpeas.
