Made from FSC-certified unbleached paper coated with 100% natural carnauba wax — a plant-based, renewable agricultural source derived from the leaves of the Brazilian carnauba palm. If You Care Unbleached Wax Paper is certified non-GMO and compostable, and is completely free from petroleum-based paraffin wax, chlorine, and synthetic coatings. Ideal for wrapping cheese, bread, sandwiches, and fresh produce, for food prep surfaces, and as a non-stick layer between baked goods. 2.3 metre roll.

Like all If You Care paper products, this wax paper is totally chlorine-free — no chlorine or chlorine derivatives are released into waterways during production. The packaging is made from recycled unbleached board with vegetable inks. ⚠️ Note: Wax paper cannot be heated — it will melt. Do not use in ovens, microwaves, or near open flames.

Can this be used in the microwave or oven?

Is this compostable?
Yes — both the wax paper and its packaging are certified compostable. The carnauba wax and unbleached paper will fully break down in composting conditions.

Is this the same as parchment paper?
No — wax paper and parchment paper serve different purposes. Parchment paper is heat-resistant and suitable for baking; wax paper is for cold food storage and prep only. Both are available in the If You Care range.
