Cod liver oil carries vitamins A and D as well as omega-3. Plain fish oil gives more omega-3 per softgel but no vitamin A or D.

Cod liver oil is high in vitamin A, which is not recommended in pregnancy. Speak to your midwife or GP before taking it.

Taking it with a meal usually prevents any fishy aftertaste.
Food supplement. Do not exceed the stated dose. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
